When’s The Right Time To Let Go Of A Platform?

A lot of what is talked about in the world of marketing and online business is scaling…or building…or growing. And that’s often attached to adding more. But actually, there comes a time in every business owner’s journey where that next phase of growth comes from letting go of some things. It comes from focusing your energy on less things in order to do them better. I see this a lot when it comes to social media marketing, specifically with people wanting to let go of a platform. 

And honestly, I’m a big advocate for just not being somewhere you don’t want to be. But our businesses are something we have built and nurtured, so of course, it comes with some trepidation when we make a big change. So people always want to know, should I let go of this? And then the really tricky part, when is the right time to let go of this?!

So in today’s episode, I walk you through some of the things I do with clients when they are looking to scale back and let go of a platform. Together we usually look at ‘should you?’ and if that’s a yes, we look at ‘when should you?’. Because timing is what can make the biggest difference here.
